Spring Newsletter!

Dear Parent(s) and Carer(s),

I hope this message finds you well and you are enjoying the first signs of spring, with the warmer weather and sunshine as we approach the Easter half term.

I wanted to inform you that I will be on Paternity leave for the first two weeks of the Summer Term. During this time, I will remain accessible via email, so please don’t hesitate to reach out if you have any concerns or queries.

This term I have been truly impressed by the composure and dedication our Secondary and Post 16 learners have shown over the examination period this term. The next step will be to carefully review areas where learners can continue to build on their knowledge and skills in preparation for their final exams in May/June.

Please also keep an eye out for your child’s termly curriculum letter in the first week after Easter, which will provide an overview of the topics to be covered in the Summer term.

As we approach the end of the Spring Term, we will be saying goodbye to a valued member of staff. Katie James has been a staff member at ALP Leicester for over ten years and will be leaving to take on a headship at a new school. I thank Katie for the care and support she has provided to our learners over the years and we wish her all the best in her new role.

Looking ahead we also welcome two new staff members starting after the Easter break. Bhasmita Patel will be joining us as the new teacher for our Base Class (replacing Hasmita Butad who will be starting maternity leave after Easter).

Additionally we also have a new teaching assistant, Ania Gronzalska, who will join us to support our Base Class after Easter. Wishing you all a relaxing and enjoyable Easter break, with lots more Spring sunshine, I hope. We look forward to welcoming our learners back for the Summer term on Monday 28th April 2025.

Kind regards
