Five learners from ALP Leicester were chosen to attend the first residential the school has hosted. The students travelled 160 miles to Stockbury in Kent, where they camped for one night, along with two packed days of activities at the company’s very own outdoor learning centre, known as ALP The Lodge.
The students pitched their own tents before participating in swimming, nerf gun wars, animal care, strawberry jam making and fire lighting.
On day two they participated in a variety of water sports including Paddleboarding, which will become a feature of ALP Leicester’s outdoor enrichment activities for the year ahead.
