Patrick Mc’Connell

I spent the first two years of my career working in mainstream further education, I very quickly discovered a passion for inclusive education that removed barriers for learning and started working exclusively with learners with SEND. This highlighted the importance of early support and educational intervention on long term academic success.  In order to better support learners at an earlier stage of their education I began working in vocational alternative provision, where I spent the next three years improving my ability to offer bespoke educational instruction.

Immediately before working with ALP schools I was working as the first point of contact for learners and their families, here I was responsible for designing individual education plans and supporting teachers to implement these plans and adaptations into their classrooms.

My passion for inclusive education remains and I am now responsible for overseeing the implementation of bespoke delivery across our school.  I am a firm believer that high quality education should be made available and accessible to all learners, that the environment and teaching should be adapted in order to better meet the needs of the individual wherever possible.

I look forward to working with you as we secure the best possible outcome for our learners and their families.
